There’s good news, bad news, and more good news.

First, the good: in honour of Lady Gaga’s Academy Award nod for Shallow, Warner Bros. Studios have announced a special cinematic re-release of smash hit musical A Star Is Born.
The week-long encore will also feature twelve juicy minutes of extra footage not included in the original release, featuring extended performances of Black Eyes, Alibi, and the famous car park version of Shallow.
The bad news: the re-release is currently only scheduled for theatres in North America.
The extra good news: while Australian audiences may have to wait for that full chunk of unused footage to emerge, the studio has been kind enough to gift punters with a short clip of Ally (Gaga) and Jackson Maine (Bradley Cooper) writing the tune Clover before their enormous Coachella show. It’s a sweet little duet aimed directly at A Star Is Born completionists.

Cute, right?
Between that and the duo’s instantly famous Oscars rendition of Shallow, there’s probably enough material floating around to keep fans of the film happy for a minute or two.
