New Zealand Seeks Same-Sex Aussie Couple For Legal Dream Wedding

Do you dream of marrying your beloved but can’t because you live in a country (Australia) where marriage is still being defined as the union between a man and a woman only? Tourism New Zealand wants to help make that dream come true, as they continue to rub in our faces that their country’s more modern than ours after the Definition of Marriage Bill passed earlier this year.

To celebrate the first day of the Marriage Amendment Act on 19 August 2013, Tourism NZ is searching for an Australian same-sex couple to fly out to hold their wedding ceremony on that historic day and become the first Australian couple to be married in New Zealand. Naturally, this will be followed by the luxury honeymoon of your dreams (think wine, cheese, hot spas, helicopter rides, hot air balloons, world class golf courses and whatever else tickles your fancy).

This is what Tourism New Zealand says:
With a whole host of unforgettable locations to choose from, New Zealand is one of the world’s finest wedding destinations, says Tourism New Zealand’s General Manager Australia Tim Burgess:

“New Zealand has many stunning wedding settings to choose from. You can shout your love from the mountaintops or clink your glasses at one of the country’s finest vineyards – and then take off for the honeymoon of your dreams. Add to this our luxury lodges, spas and gourmet food – and you have a match made in heaven.

The prize includes return flights from Australia, accommodation, a special wedding ceremony and stylish reception. The wedding location has not yet been announced but details will be revealed in July alongside the winning couple. The competition closes at midnight on Wednesday 10 July 2013 so hurry and ENTER NOW.
