Angel and acting royalty Miranda Tapsell is pregnant with a little bebe and I am so happy for our queen.
Tapsell announced the exciting news on Instagram today, with the simple caption: “Our very exciting production due 2021.” The Top End Wedding actress also shared a pic with her husband James Colley, where they both looked super excited.
Tapsell is a proud Larrakia and Tiwi woman, and is famous for her roles in Top End Wedding, Love Child, Newton’s Law and The Sapphires.
The actress is also an author with her memoir Top End Girl, released last April. Tapsell’s memoir is about being a bold and Black woman, and what led her down the path of acting.
“Sharing my story is important … I think it is true that you don’t aspire to be what you cannot see. I would like this book to show you that you can push yourself to do things you never dreamed you would do,” Miranda Tapsell said of the book.
Colley is also in the media industry, working as a comedy writer for ABC’s Gruen and The Weekly. The couple actually met on Twitter, after Tapsell stumbled across her now hubbie’s profile. So take notes, ladies.
The couple have been married for two years, with Tapsell joking to Now to Love that the proposal was less than impressive.
