Thanks to the mysteries of time zones, it is currently 4/20 – colloquially known as the Weed Day – in the United States of America. It’s a bit of a momentous one this year, as it comes during a time of total overhaul of the country’s attitudes, both legal and cultural, towards marijuana consumption.
A full 33 states have legalised the devil’s lettuce, with many more pushing legislation through, and people – celebrities included – are taking full advantage of the jubilant mood to share a bunch of pics and vids of them getting extremely, uh, relaxed.
Snoop Dogg obviously is leading the charge with several blunt-featuring snaps and Insta videos, and would be even if smoking weed attracted corporal punishment. Seth Rogen used the occasion to call for criminal records to be expunged for those convicted of marijuana-related offences.
And your friend and mine, Miley Cyrus, is out here smoking a blunt the size of a four-year-old’s arm. That shit is a veritable sapling. Did she get that shit from a Popeye cartoon? Good lord!
