The party in the USA is officially over now that representatives for one-time winners of Fave Kiss at the Nickelodeon Australian Kids’ Choice Awards, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth, have confirmed the pair are no longer together. Yet to be confirmed is whether or not Cyrus’s steamy on-screen kiss with a sledgehammer had anything to do with the split.
A “source” told Radar Online that Miley’s #edgy platinum makeover and multiple–meme-yielding performance at this year’s VMAs have contributed to the split. “Liam really does care about Miley,” the source told Radar, “but her racy new look and sort of ghetto attitude isn’t exactly what he signed up for. Her VMA performance absolutely mortified him and he couldn’t be more embarrassed. He doesn’t really see anything sexy about what she did on stage.”
