The yarn was posted by Reddit user, f7tj78 (which is not his main account, for obvious reasons), in the confession-like subreddit, Today I Fucked Up (TIFU). The idea here is that you title the thread with TIFU, followed by what you did. In this case, the title is “TIFU by taking LSD and pretending to be French for 10 months”. Spicy.
Of course, when you come across a thread like that, you simply must click into it, and the rewards for doing so are immense. Essentially, old mate was in the middle of an acid trip in a new house and decided to go for a walk to calm himself down a little. Upon leaving, he met his next door neighbour for the very first time and, well, I’ll let him explain it for himself.
