Ah, another day, another bonkers picture of Lily James as Pamela Anderson on the set of her heaps controversial series about the Baywatch star, her ex-husband, and their stolen sex tape.
Lily James (Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again) and Sebastian Stan (Falcon and The Winter Soldier) are currently filming Hulu’s Pam & Tommy, an eight-part mini series based on Anderson’s very real whirlwind romance with Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee.
The series will take a look at the former couple’s marriage, subsequent divorce, and their stolen sex tape which was absolutely everywhere at the time.
Initially, the series copped dozens of headlines over James’ mind-boggling transformation into Anderson. And then, uh, some drama unfolded, but more on that in a tick.

James recently shared another selfie in costume from set and once again, it’s taken me squinting at the screen for 30 seconds to recognise the actor.
Where’s Lily James? I don’t see her!!!
Anyway, turns out the real Pamela Anderson bloody loathes the show. She hasn’t come right out and said this, but her good mate Courtney Love has, and she did not mince her words.
“I find this fucking outrageous,” Love wrote on Facebook about the show.
She obliterated the series for focusing on the sex tape, which she once banned her colleagues from discussing in the studio.
“I banned anyone discussing it. It destroyed my friend Pamela’s life. Utterly.”
Courtney also said the Hulu series asked her for permission to use her December 1994 Rolling Stone cover “in this piece of shit”.
“I said ‘fuck no’ shocked. Gentleman (sic) don’t approve this sort of thing. My heart goes out to Pammy,” Love said.
“[The series] is further causing her complex trauma. And shame on Lily James whoever the fuck she is.”
It goes without saying that Anderson is not involved in the series.
Despite the intense backlash from Anderson’s camp, the series is going full steam ahead.
In an interview with Variety, director Craig Gillespie praised the script as “pretty amazing”.
“It’s going to be a wild, shocking [and] painfully sad ride,” he said.
Pam & Tommy co-stars Seth Rogen as Rand Gauthier (the bloke who stole the sex tape and sold it), Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation), Taylor Schilling (Orange is the New Black), Andrew Dice Clay (A Star is Born), Pepi Sonuga (Famous in Love), Spenser Granese (The Sinner), and Mozhan Marnò (The Blacklist).
