Lil Nas X Is Sharing Bulk Memes And Coming For Homophobes On Twitter And It’s Glorious Stuff

Lil Nas X

Yesterday, Lil Nas X dropped his new single and video ‘MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)‘, an opulent and lush fantasy that begins in the Garden of Eden and ends with him riding a stripper pole to hell, grinding up on the devil and stealing his horns.

The eye-popping video is directed by Ukrainian photographer Tanu Muino (who has also worked with Cardi B and Katy Perry) and of course, it has riled up the kinds of people who think that the gays are ripping apart the fabric of our culure.

Lil Nas X has had a field day with this on Twitter – since the video dropped, he’s been sharing reactions and snapping back at homophobes and it’s been an absolute glory to behold. When one person asked if all men should “dress androgynously and sleep with satin” he replied ‘yes’, which is a very fair call.

He also pointed out the hypocrisy of those who say gays are going to hell then get wildly upset at a gay man when he makes a music video about … going to hell:

He has also shared an absolutely bloody glorious trove of memes about the video, and you can see some of the best below:

These are just some highlights and if you head over to his Twitter, there’s truly so much more excellent content.

Amidst all of this, Lil Nas X also shared a moving letter he wrote to his 14-year-old self about coming out as a gay person:

We truly do not deserve this king.
