In the most boring news of the week, Lady Gaga has admitted her spicy performance with Bradley Cooper at the Oscars of ‘Shallow’ was a stunt to make us all believe in their love.
Gaga revealed the beige truth to Elle in her interview led by Oprah Winfrey (what? why?), saying it was all to do with making people believe in their love – I assume she means from the context of A Star Is Born and their characters.
“We mapped the whole thing out. It was orchestrated. We made a love story. For me, as a performer and actress, of course we wanted people to believe we were in love. We wanted people to feel that love at the Oscars.”
To make it even more “well fuck, love clearly doesn’t exist then”, she says the pair worked on making the performance believable for days.
“We wanted it to go right through the lens of that camera and to every television that it was being watched on. And we worked hard on it — we worked for days.”
COOL, GAGA. THANKS FOR MAKING US THINK YOU AND BRADLEY WERE BONING BUT ACTUALLY YOU WERE JUST LAUGHING AT US.
Oprah even said she’d spoken to Bradley Cooper before about their fake romance.
“We were talking about all the rumours about you guys last year. He said if they had been true, he never would have been able to look you in the eye sitting at that piano.”
I mean – there IS the fact Irina Shayk split with Bradley during the whole are-they-aren’t-they saga with Lady Gaga… but still. I always had a suspicion the Gaga/Cooper romance was bullshit, and now here we are – being told we were lied to.
