When you fall for a person, you aren’t necessarily going to immediately do the mental arithmetic to weigh up how amazing that person is versus what marrying into their family is going to be like. While it might be a pretty big dominating factor later on, whether you’re going to hate their dad eventually or whatever is not the biggest concern you have at the time. This might maybe change if the extended family you’re going to marry into includes Donald Trump.
This is the future that Karlie Kloss can look forward to after getting engaged to Josh Kushner, the younger brother of Jared Kushner, husband of Ivanka Trump and, thus, Trump’s son-in-law. Hopefully, you’re still with me here.
Kloss made the announcement on Instagram, showing off a big ol’ ring while in Beijing:
She said that Kushner proposed “a few weeks ago during a romantic weekend together in upstate New York.” As is the custom of the time, Kloss announced the development by making a post with a wedding ring emoji in it:
I love you more than I have words to express. Josh, you’re my best friend and my soulmate. I can’t wait for forever together. Yes a million times over
Kloss and Kushner, a 33-year-old venture capitalist, have been together for six years.
