The video of Nine News presenter Amber Sherlock throwing a strop at her colleague Julie Snook has officially gone viral as balls, becoming the butt of a joke in the opening monologue of Jimmy Kimmel Live.
The video, showing the two presenters in an off-air spat about the fact that they wore similar-looking outfits to the broadcast, clearly touched Kimmel on some deep level, and he named it a contender for clip of the year.
“I don’t know who decided to release this tape, but whoever it was, I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart,” he said. “Get those women on The View immediately.”
For what it’s worth, Nine are also very interested to find out who leaked the embarrassing video, which was sent to media blog Mumbrella earlier this week.
Kimmel hasn’t yet put the monologue on his official YouTube channel, so below is a bootleg version that will have to do in the meantime. Enjoy:
