Here’s Keith Urban’s Advice On How To Make It Through The Big ARIAs Night

Look, old mate Keith Urban has been around the ARIA Music Awards a couple of times. It’s not his first rodeo, and after a few runs around the trot and picking up four pointy bois of his own, he’s finally hosting the whole shebang.

So for someone who’s seen the ins and outs of Australia‘s biggest awards night a fair few times, it’s pretty fair enough for him to share some pearls of wisdom and dole out a bit of a survival guide for those of us planning our own watching party, heading along to the big night, or maybe even up for a gong.

Think essentials like a portable phone charger, tissues for celebratory (or commiseration) tears, and a general awareness for how bloody weighty and pointy those awards are – seriously how has it not been the source of more injuries over the last 32 years?

ARIA week kicks off with the all-inclusive Aus Music Tshirt Day on November 16, followed by a bunch of events happening throughout Sydney, including Keith Urban, Vera Blue, and Amy Shark performing intimate Nova Red Room shows across the city, masterclasses from MusicNSWSupport Act, and others, and Zane Lowe returning once again to broadcast his huge radio show from this side of the globe.

The celebrations come to a big bang on November 28 with the main awards night at The Star in Syd, and will be broadcast nationwide for those of us playing at home.
