For reasons unknown to man, Kate Beckinsale has taken to Instagram to share a text message exchange with her 20-year-old daughter, Lily Mo Sheen where she grills her about doing cocaine.

Why does she think her child’s been doing the illicit drug? Well, because it came to her in a dream, apparently.
“Are you doing a lot of cocaine?!?” She began the conversation. “Um..?? i’m doing 0 cocaine. what is happening?? hello??” Her daughter responds.
When Beckinsale doesn’t reply for a while, Lily writes, “I physically couldn’t be doing less cocaine… u can’t send me that and then go silent.”
Kate then responded: “I had a dream you were and i was so mad.”
Lily texted her back, “you are a LUNATIC.”

The post was met with immediate backlash from her followers with one fan writing, “Who the fuck has dreams like that,” and another writing, “You have some random thoughts… and clearly looking for a hookup.”
Following the backlash, Beckinsale updated the caption to:
“Various tabloids have seized the word ‘cocaine’ in order to stir shit and get everybody going. If you replaced my first text with ‘Are you dating Trevor McDonald?’ based on a dream, I don’t think anyone would extrapolate that she was, or that I was, or that we both were.”
“I am in fact dating Trevor Macdonald and I like to keep it discreet which is why I didn’t post about it on instagram,” she jokingly added. “PS when the text is blue, it’s me. Right, off to sext Trevor.”
As the hits kept on coming from followers and tabloids alike, Beckinsale deleted the post completely.
