Justin Timberlake Will Thrust His Way Into Cinemas With A New Concert Film

Cinemas around the world may need to provide a selection of paper towels for seat de-moistening purposes, with news that Justin Timberlake is releasing a concert film to document his 20/20 Experience World Tour.
Per reports in EW, legendary director Jonathan Demme Silence Of The Lambs, Rachel Getting Married – shot the last stop of Timberlake’s tour in January of this year.
The highly auspicious location for this final concert was the MGM Grand in Las Vegas – a fitting venue, though one that still may not have been sufficient to contain Timberake’s ego and / or sex appeal.
Demme, who praised Timberlake’s dancing skills and overall -vibe-, said of the project:
“It’s very emotional, very exciting. It’s a space age music film! There’s tremendous dancing in this piece. [Justin has] got an extraordinary band called the Tennessee Kids. Huge horn section, two lead guitars, two drummers, eight dancers, four exquisite background singers. And we caught them on their last performance.”
Timberlake has worked with his share of high-calibre directors before, and David Fincher, with whom he worked on The Social Network, also made the video for his 2013 single ‘Suit And Tie’.
The film, which was independently financed and produced, has yet to secure a distribution deal, but it probs won’t take long, hey.
