Judge Gets Sick Of Depp & Heard’s Feud, Makes Them Finalise Divorce

A Los Angeles judge has forced Johnny Depp and Amber Heard to finalise their divorce proceedings, declaring that enough is enough and ending months of bitter back-and-forth between the two.
Per reports in Page Six, the judge said that “if Amber and Johnny want to be divorced, they should just be divorced,” shutting down motions from both sides that would have seen the legal stoush drag on even further.
Depp had requested that Heard pay a $100,000 sanction, claiming that she had delayed divorce proceedings, while Heard wanted to renegotiate the $7 million settlement and make Depp sit for a deposition.
The judge denied both, and now, the divorce has been finalised, with both parties paying their own legal fees. Sources claim that Depp had not yet paid any instalments in his settlement, but will now have to start.
Speaking to Page Six, Heard’s lawyer Pierce O’Donnell said: “It is a great day, all Amber wanted was to be divorced and now she is. In the words of Gerald Ford, ‘Our long national nightmare is over.’”
Overnight, The Guardian published details from the pair’s divorce papers. They show that Depp will retain sole possession of various real estate assets, including homes in LA and Paris, and his private island in the Bahamas.
Depp is also holding on to a collection of more than 40 cars, boats and motorcycles. Heard is retaining custody of Pistol and Boo, the couple’s infamous Yorkshire Terriers, and also a horse named Arrow.
Neither will receive spousal support, and a confidentiality clause prevents either one from talking about their relatonship in interviews or on social media.
