Krasinski, who is also writing the sequel’s screenplay, posted a picture of the Abbott family house on Instagram. The picture was captioned “…time to go back. #PartII”. The actor also revealed the US release date – May 15, 2020.

A Quiet Place tells the tale of your typical family of four just living their best life… in complete and utter bloody silence because a mysterious and terrifying creature that hunts by sound threatens to slaughter them one by one.

The Hollywood Reporter reveals Krasinski will return to direct the horror sequel and actor Emily Blunt, and extremely talented child actors Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe are in talks to reprise their roles.

Last year, in an interview with DeadlineKrasinski shared some of his feelings about the sequel.

“Most sequels are about the return of a hero or a villain, [and] you take this character that people loved once and you bring them back, and you have to create a new world around them. We have the exact opposite setup.

“We have the world, and you can drop whoever you want into that world and everyone feels connected to it. The reason I decided to go back, in the end, was this world is so rich, and it’s so much fun to explore. There are so many different things to see now.”

Translation? Cryptic, cryptic, cryptic.
