Do you ever just flick on old episodes of The Office and sing along to the theme song as “dooooo-dooooooooo-do-do-do-do-do” and so on and so forth? Well, thanks to John Krasinski, we now have lyrics.

Krasinski, who starred as Jim Halpert in the American version of the beloved series, hosted Saturday Night Live over the weekend. And while the actor appeared in a number of very random skits (and kissed Pete Davidson) during his time hosting, he couldn’t escape The Office.

Unlike his former co-star Steve Carell, who reunited the cast during his turn at hosting the show, Krasinski decided to do something a little different.

He wrote some very good lyrics to go along with The Office theme song, so you no longer have to “do-do-do” to it.

The first line is easily my favourite.

If you would like the lyrics in full, you can find them below.

Lyrics to The Office theme song, written by John Krasinski:

Scranton, Scranton, Scranton, Scranton, Scranton, Scranton, Scranton, Scranton, Scranton…

That’s where we all live and work,

That’s a calculator.

There’s Dwight,

He’s the bad guy.

And the hero’s name is Jim.

Highlighting!

That’s his girlfriend.

That guy’s on the phone.

Tie flippppp!

Then, there’s me again.

Then Carell does the trophy thing.

The Offiicceeeeeeee.

It’s already in my head, help.

The Office aside for the moment, Krasinski still has the theatrical release of A Quiet Place II to come.

A Quiet Place II, the sequel to the smash hit starring Krasinski and his wife and fellow actor Emily Blunt, was originally slated for release last March. It was one of several major films delayed as the coronavirus started to dominate the world.

The film was delayed for a third time last month, and is now expected to hit cinemas in the United States come September 17, 2021.

Who knows when we’ll cop it, but if you were wondering what ever happened to the sequel – well, there you go.

In the meantime, I guess you can rewatch The Office for the a millionth time. All episodes are available to stream on Netflix Australia.
