Jimmy Kimmel Revealed A Redditor’s Extremely NSFW Post History On TV

This poor, poor, poor bastard.

Internet chumscrubber Reddit is a treasure trove of sordid, confessional information, and the TIFU (‘Today I Fucked Up‘) subreddit is one of the best. But the yarns that actually make it onto the page seldom have much to do with Reddit itself.

Except this one.

Hoo boy, this one.

A humble, unassuming comparison between a dog and an actor has somehow culminated in a Redditor’s post history being splashed across a major late night US talk show.

A few days ago /u/gryff42 chucked this dog with an incredible likeness to actor William H. Macy up on them Reddit streams. It made the front page, and subsequently went mildly viral.

Pretty solid likeness. Very good boy.

On the same day, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian just happened to make an appearance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!‘. And no interview with that guy, in that TV format, would be complete without a little mid-show Reddit browsing.

Ohanian then extolled the virtues of the Reddit users and community, which frankly was like a red-rag to a bull, because Kimmel immediately checked poor gryff42’s post history, which – by whatever stroke of luck – happened to have a few reasonably sordid quips right at the sodding top.

The timing. The ungodly, unbelievable timing.

Christ, if the “baby, there’s nothing micro or soft about me” quip weren’t bad enough, revealing on TV that gryff42’s been active in a thread entitled “TIFU by taking amphetamines and masturbating my limp penis for 6 hours” is something else. Let the poor 42nd gryff post in peace, Jimmy. Damn.

As you’d imagine, gryff’s inbox more or less exploded after the “appearance” (which in this digital age should technically qualify them for SAG membership, TBH). The Redditor-of-the-hour explained it themselves thusly:

I hardly ever post filthy stuff but I commented on a NSFW TIFU a few days ago and I think Jimmy thought it was my submission at the short glance he took.

Keep in mind they even named and showed my username – he made it look like there was a lot of filthy stuff going on in my history so this was quite embarrassing for me and Im getting a lot of crazy messages now.

It’s a hell of a stroke of luck, one way or the other. ‘Course you can count all the lucky stars in the world it wasn’t a character annihilation on Ken Bone-levels.

That’s the kind of internet rinsing you just can’t recover from.
