Jennifer Garner Is Yr Uptight M8 In The Trailer For Lena Dunham’s ‘Camping’

Do you have that mate who likes to plan vacations down to the hour? The one who fucking loves doing craft? The one who is so uptight they are guaranteed to one day unravel in a dramatic and incredibly destructive way?

Jennifer Garner in Girls co-creators’ Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner‘s new project, Camping, is that “certified lifeguard” friend. Except that friend is a 40-something-year-old lady who is deeply committed to “fossil hunts” and “birds-of-prey watching!

Garner stars as Kathryn, wife to David Tenant‘s Walt, who has gathered all their friends in the wilderness to celebrate her husband’s 45th birthday.

Going camping as grown-arse adults, without the addition of certain ~substances~, is asking for trouble. It is a horror story in the making. It is the stuff of nightmares, folks, and let me tell ya, I wouldn’t do it. Especially not when there are bears involved – oh yes, the synopsis is explicit about that. Do not fuck with bears where bears live.

But Juliette Lewis and Love‘s Brett Gelman, Janicza Bravo, Arturo Del Puerto, and Ione Skye, plus the incredibly talented Bridget Everett as the campsite’s manager, are fucking camping, alright, all there to bear witness to Garner’s glorious decline. Also Lewis gets royally wasted and has the sex. Juliette Lewis in this is a #mood.

I just wanted to say, I’m not ready to forgive all you” is a sentence straight out of the pass-agg roomie handbook. Garner needs to chillllllll.

The show is an adaptation of the 2016 UK series, written and directed by, and starring Julia Davis, who along with being a prolific writer is The Mighty Boosh‘s Julian Barratt‘s wife, which does not define her, it’s just a neat fact.

The US series premieres on October 14.
