“I Don’t Like Drama”: Jennifer Hawkins Refuses To Comment On Trump Video

Earlier today, a newly-resurfaced video did the rounds, showing Donald Trump publicly humiliating Jennifer Hawkins while at a speaking engagement for aspiring business moguls in Sydney in 2011.
The video has been held up as further evidence of the Republican presidential candidate’s generally pretty shabby attitude towards women, as allegations of his sexual misconduct continue to pour in.
One person who refuses to be drawn into the discussion is Hawkins herself – the model, TV personality and entrepreneur is currently at Derby Day in Melbourne, but politely demurred when approached by reporters in the marquee.
She told News Corp:

“Just on that whole subject, Donald and his family I have to say, have always been respectful to me … So as much as everyone wants me to bag him, it’s not in my nature. I don’t like drama, I don’t like to get into politics publicly, so that’s why I’ve kind of, not avoided it, just haven’t openly been out there.”

Speaking of her Miss Universe win in 2004, and of Trump’s involvement, she said:

“He was a co-owner of Miss Universe, so I don’t know how much, but I know that it was an amazing opportunity and to win it I just look back and I’m shocked.”

So there you have it. It’s not quite the epic wig-snatching that we were hoping for, but at least Hawkins doesn’t appear to bear any particular ill will over the incident
