The moment you didn’t know you were waiting for is here; Ian McKellen AKA human treasure has been cast in Disney’s upcoming live-action remake Beauty and the Beast as the voice of Cogsworth, alongside Emma Watson as Belle.
Sir McKellen can add this to his lengthy list of impressive roles including, of course, Gandalf, Magneto, wedding officiator, inspirational speaker and one half of the most magical friendship treasure trove to ever exist.
As any 90’s child worth their furbies would no doubt have been keeping track of, the cast already also includes Dan Stevens as the Beast, Luke Evans as Gaston, and Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts.
