With the proliferation of baking shows out there on streaming services, it takes a truly deranged creation to really shock me, but this life-sized Harry and Meghan cake just might have done it.
Baker Lara Mason, who shares her efforts on TikTok, revealed that she was commissioned to make the cake for the anniversary of Mexit, when the couple quit as senior royals.
She said that the cake was “not easy” to make – which absolutely bloody tracks – and on TikTok, she shared a video of its creation, while reenacting her phone call with the customer.
I have spent a long time staring at this enormous Harry and Meghan confection, to the point where it’s starting to stare back, right into my soul, and I’m scared, you guys.

Get a good look at this wild cake – it may be the most you see of Harry and Meghan for a while, with reports this week that the couple have effectively quit social media.
A friend who spoke to the Times Of London said that they have “no plans” to jump on social media for their new site Archewell, and are “very unlikely” to keep using their personal accounts.
This tracks with comments that Meghan made in October, when she said that she has made a “personal choice to not have any account”, adding:
“I don’t know what’s out there, and [in] many ways that’s helpful for me … I have a lot of concerns for people that have become obsessed with it. And it is so much a part of our daily culture for so many people that it’s an addiction like many others.”
