High fantasy fiction nightmare factory responsible for your new found wedding phobia, George R. R Martin, will be discussing the much-loved denizens of his A Song Of Ice And Fire universe, and the cult HBO drama it inspired, Game Of Thrones, in the author’s first ever Australian television interview, airing tonight on ABC’s The 7:30 Report.
The author (of your nightmares), currently in the country to make those around him hyperventilate as part of this year’s Supanova convention as well as standalone speaking engagements in Melbourne and in Sydney, will tonight discuss topics such as “the value of daydreaming, the profound effect Tolkien had on him and reflects on his habit of killing central characters.”
He may also find cause to sit us down and berate us for pillaging the Torrent shop to such an extent that we are effectively taking away from Game Of Thrones’ CGI dragon budget. And for that, we are truly sorry George.
Martin will speak tonight at the Sydney Opera House alongside Game of Thrones actors, Lena Headey (Cersei Lanniester) and Michelle Fairley (Catelyn Stark).
