George Clooney Taken To Hospital In Italy After Scooter Collision

George Clooney has reportedly been taken to hospital after he was involved in an accident while riding a scooter in Italy.

According to NBC News, Clooney was taken to the emergency room at John Paul II hospital in Olbia. Olbia is in Sardinia, which is where Clooney is currently directing, producing and starring in a miniseries adaptation of Joseph Heller‘s satirical novel Catch-22.

Local newspaper La Nuova Sardegna has reported that Clooney has been discharged from the hospital. He reportedly suffered slight trauma to the pelvis and some bruising on his leg and arm, but was otherwise not seriously injured.

According to La Nuova, Clooney was travelling to the set along a state road in Costa Corallina when his scooter collided with a car that had suddenly turned.

Clooney was reportedly joined by his wife Amal at the hospital before they both left in a production van.
