The Razzies are like a passing comet: we only pay attention when they shoot past, but they remind us that for every brilliant star dotting the night sky, there’s probably a hurtling ball of garbage following right behind.
Actually, as is tradition, the 36th awards show for the worst flicks released in the past year took place the night before the annual Oscars. Just as well, too: what better way to introduce legit Best Actor nominee Eddie Redmayne than by hailing him as the newest recipient of the Worst Supporting Actor Razzie for his role in Jupiter Ascending.
The Oscars parallels extended further, with Sylvester Stallone copping the Razzie Redeemer award for managing a Best Supporting Actor nom for Creed.
Miraculously, Adam Sandler emerged relatively unscathed. Perhaps he’s been trapped in his fortress of money, unable to rustle the jimmies of Razzie voters. Anyway, here’s the full breakdown:
