In entirely unsurprising news, HBO have commissioned 10 episodes for season 4 of Game of Thrones to premiere next year. The inevitable announcement comes in the wake of record breaking illegal download figures and HBO ratings.
Season 4 is expected to primarily use material from the back half of
the lengthy third book in George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire
saga, A Storm of Swords. Having not read the source material, I can only speculate as to what we are to expect in season 4, but I’m sure it’s a pretty safe bet that there will be plenty of sword induced murder, some incest, and a fair dose of former cute baby dragons being angry adult dragons.
