Fred Armisen Is Touring Australia For The First Time Ever & It’s Happening Real Soon

Well here’s something we didn’t expect to be writing today: Fred Armisen – he of SNLPortlandiaDocumentary Now!, and Seth Meyers‘ house band fame – has just announced a fairly huge Australian stand-up tour set to go down in just a few short weeks.

Armisen’s debut Australian tour – he’s literally never performed here before ever – will form part of the sprawling Sydney Just For Laughs comedy festival in early September. But around that, he’ll be hitting up Melbourne, Perth, and Brisbane as well, with all shows taking place inside large theatres.

A spiritual follow-up to his 2018 Netflix special Standup for Drummers, Armisen’s tour is entitled Comedy for Musicians (But Everyone is Welcome). Glean from that what you will, but there’s almost certainly going to be a few gags in there for folks who know their crescendos from their crescendon’ts.

Tickets for all shows go on sale from 10am on Monday, July 15th. You might want to consider getting on it quick sticks, because this one’ll be a red hot ticket.

Full tour dates below. Get around it.
