The internet is currently in the grip of Fifty Shades Of Grey mania, as the trailer for the forthcoming erotic blockbuster both tastefully aroused and lightly moistened fans overnight. One person who’s not entirely comfortable with the whole thing, though, is the movie’s star Dakota Johnson.
Johnson appeared on The Today Show in the U.S. to promote the film, and expressed dismay at the thought of her parents seeing her being whipped and spanked and stroking her werewolf lover’s lustrous grey pelt (I actually have no idea what the fuck Fifty Shades Of Grey is about, sorry, but I’m assuming there are supernatural creatures in the mix?).
According to a report in Time, the actress, whose parents are actors Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith, said she does not want them to see her in action. “Not at all,” she told host Savannah Guthrie. “I mean, if it were them doing the movie, I wouldn’t want to see that.”
Griffith starred as Holly Body in Brian De Palma‘s erotic ’80s thriller Body Double, so she may not be be all that sheltered when it comes to the ways of cinematic rough and tumble, but we’ll leave this one to the family to sort out.
Johnson also said that filming the movie’s sex scenes was an awkward experience. “It’s not like a romantic situation, it’s more technical and choreographed,” she explained. “It’s more of a task.” Yikes.
