Drake Bell Says A New ‘Drake & Josh’ Project Is In The Works

If the Jonas Brothers‘ reunion wasn’t enough to sate your tween heart, Drake Bell of Nickelodeon‘s Drake & Josh says the TV brothers are working on something new together.

Starring Bell and Josh Peck in the titular roles, the telly show told the tale of two very different teenagers who – after becoming stepbrothers – must try and figure out their new lives together.

The series also starred Miranda Cosgrove as the brothers’ younger sister, Megan.

Earlier this week at the iHeart Radio Music Awards, Bell told PEOPLE that he and Peck were in talks.

“We’re working on something,” he revealed. “I’m excited. I think we have a great idea.”

Presumably because there are a number of remakes and revivals currently out there, Bell hinted that this new project wouldn’t have such an obvious plot.

“[The project] is going to be way more creative, way cooler than just you know the college years or something like that,” he continued. “We knew that if we were ever going to come back, it’s got to be something cool. I’m excited to see what the fans think.”

Interestingly, Bell told E!News that he wouldn’t call this new project a reboot. Again, he described it as being “a little bit more creative and a little more exciting.”

Considering Peck’s popularity on YouTube, here’s hoping we cop some sort of new YouTube series or even a TV flick.

Anywho, Bell added he was excited to work with Peck again, especially because they just get along so well.

“He’s just got an amazing comedic wit and incredible timing and he’s really smart and we really get along. So I think that it just kind of all goes together.”
