Those of you who have managed to put eyes across Solo: A Star Wars Story by now will note two rather important things: The movie is entirely ok, and Lando Calrissian sports a wardrobe that’s the envy of the galaxy.
Donald Glover‘s portrayal of the fast-handed charmer with more flash and pizazz than a Canto Bight gala is smoother than the silk of his capes, and that’s thanks in no small part to the film’s wardrobe department’s bang-up job of bringing Lando’s stylish leanings to glorious life.
Luckily for all of you, it doesn’t have to live purely inside the film.
The team behind Star Wars have given us a peek behind the curtain, with Glover giving rabid Star Wars fans – and by god there’s a lot of you – an insight into how his sense of style drives and informs Lando the character.
If for no other reason, it is 100% worth it just for the shots of Lando smouldering at the camera with that debonaire popped space collar.
It’s in space. A popped collar is totally ok if it’s in space.
Hell yeah, baby. That’s the good stuff, right there.
Solo: A Star Wars Story is in cinemas across the country right now. It’s a good watch. Definitely not the worst way to pass a couple of hours.
Now if you’ll excuse us, we’re off to pause the video specifically on one of those stares.
Only for science-related purposes, of course.
