Did ‘SNL’ Really Go Too Far With This ISIS Sketch?

Over the weekend, on what was otherwise a fairly bland, Dakota Johnson-hosted episode of Saturday Night Live, the show managed to air one sketch that got the internet well and truly riled up.

The bit in question is a parody of a tear-jerking commercial, with a daughter saying goodbye to her dad as she leaves home for the first time, that goes dark pretty fast.
Twitter lit up as soon as it aired, calling the sketch ‘depraved’ and ‘sick’, and slamming SNL for trying to find humour in ISIS. The fake commercial, embedded below, is pretty wrong, and yet it drew some guilty LOLs out of us.
What do you think?
