Dickie Knee’s Face Has Finally Been Revealed And Hey Hey, It’s Horrifying

If you manage a decades-long career on television without ever showing your face, there’s probably a very good reason for it.

Hey Hey It’s Saturday’s favourite disembodied head and live-in heckler Dickie Knee now serves as definitive proof of that credo, thanks to ol’ mate / voice artist John Blackman.

Taking to Studio 10 a lil’ earlier today to chat about the enduring variety show and his contributions to it, Blackman managed to sneak Dickie onto the set.

After delivering a few factoids about Daryl Somers’ long-time frenemy – like the fact Dickie lives in the boot of his car – Blackman did the unthinkable.

He ignored the horror of the show’s panellists, and flashed Dickie’s true face to the innocent audience. Skip to 2:30, friends:

So Australia, there you have it. We’ve learned the fella is little more than Wilson’s duct-taped cousin. We also figured out Blackman isn’t totally across screenshots. Most importantly, we took a note from Hey Hey’s frequent guest Friedrich Nietschke:

“If you gaze long into an abyss, the abyss also gazes into you.”
