Claim Your Rightful Place As A Field Tester For That IRL Pokémon Game

Listen the hell up, Australia and New ZealandThe Pokémon Company needs you, right bloody now, to sign up for this month’s upcoming Pokémon Go test. Yeah, that mythical IRL Pokémon game is nearing completion, and our Japanese gaming overlords are looking to expand their trial phase worldwide.

A blog post by Pokebros / developers Niantic has asked for Antipodean adventurers keen on troubleshooting the upcoming iOS and Android app to sign up right here. In a deliriously fantastic invitation, the company says “your regular gameplay and feedback will help us iterate, polish and make the game launch-ready.”

They also acknowledge the app is still rough around the edges, and any would-be testers oughta be prepared for some Missngno weirdness. Niantic says would-be trainers to understand “the app is still in active development, so it has a limited set of features at the moment and there may be things that don’t work properly.”

But that’s all part of the fun, right?

If you’ve pulled a total Diglett and have spent the past year underground, the app centres around the concept of using your own physical legs to wander through IRL grass / caves / safaris / streets. The app, through magic methods heretofore unknown, will ‘put’ Pokemon in your immediate vicinity, and you can… well, catch ’em all, we guess.

The game is set for release later this year, but the testing form is right here sign up what are you waiting for DO IT.
