Not only would she go on to win the award for Best Actress for her role in Blue Jasmine,
but also have a fairly hilarious dig at Matthew McConaughey for going a
little bit off topic in his acceptance speech and talking about Neptune
(no, seriously).
He also managed to tell a story about a Russian man he
met twenty years ago, who escaped Russia by building a boat and sailing
across the Atlantic. Because, you know, that’s totally relevant to
acting too.
Oh, and she also pleasured a statue. Can’t wait to see what she does at the Oscars.
