Cate Blanchett Adds Some Choice New Quotes To The Blanchett Burn Book

Cate Blanchett has yet again proved why she’s the person we want to be when we grow up, throwing some effortless sass during a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar Australia.
Our Cate has long been critical of the institution that is the pre-awards show red carpet, asking a cameraman at last year’s SAG Awards “do you do that to the guys?” after he panned up and down her dress.
When asked about this by Harper’s, she offered further Blanchett Burn Book-worthy wisdom.
“Since I’ve been struttin’ the red carpet, things have changed a lot,” she said. “The way women are asked about those red-carpet moments. Oh my God. It’s just a dress!” she said.
“People forget the fact that women are [at award shows] because they’ve given extraordinary performances. It’s a wonderful excuse to dress up and have F.U.N. But let’s not forget the work.”
She also took a swipe at the trend towards mani cams, saying: “Next it will be, ‘What brand tampon are you wearing?’ How much more intimate can they get? ‘Show us your knickers’? There is a line.”
