Bruce Jenner Tells Diane Sawyer “I Am A Woman” In Powerful Interview

In a landmark interview, which is ongoing as we speak, Bruce Jenner has told Diane Sawyer “I am a woman.” Videos of the interview are appearing across YouTube, but ABC America appear to be swiftly removing them. We’ll update the story as official video becomes available. Here’s one from Twitter.
At the beginning of the interview, Sawyer asked: “Are you a woman?”
Jenner replied:

“Yes, for all intents and purposes, I am a woman. People look at me differently – they see you as this macho male, but my heart and my soul and everything that I do in life, it is part of me, that female side is part of me. It’s who I am. I was not genetically born that way – as of now, I have all the male parts and all that kind of stuff. In a lot of ways, we’re different, but we still identify as female.”
For now, here’s a preview from earlier today:
Jenner told Sawyer “I’ve always been very confused with my gender identity”, but that “my brain is more female than male … it’s hard for people to understand that, but that’s what my soul is. I look at it this way. Bruce always telling a lie. He’s lived a lie his whole life about who he is. I can’t do that any longer.”
Per GLAAD, Jenner has requested that, for now, a new name and pronoun not be used when reporting on this story:

We’ll follow the interview as it happens.
