If the season finale of Bling Empire left you feeling some kind of way, read: wanting more, then I’m here to tell you that Netflix has shared a cast update. STRAP IN.
Quick recap: in the season finale, Kevin Kreider and Kane Lim tell Kim Lee the heartbreaking news that her estranged father has died, Cherie Chan proposes to her partner Jessey Lee, and Kelly Mi Li gets back together with her ex Andrew Gray. Well, it looks that way anyway.
The cast update left no stone unturned, like even Florent Bonadei – Anna Shay‘s French best mate – features in it.
I’m just going to skip ahead to who I care about the most: Kelly.
Watching Andrew yell at Kelly over the phone in the very first episode was extremely confronting, to say the least.

He wasn’t just verbally aggressive, he was also straight-up manipulative, controlling and possessive and he clearly has anger issues.
“I didn’t know what the word ‘gaslighting’ meant ’til like now,” Kelly said in the update. “So I definitely see where the audience was coming from, they saw a period – a really dark period of our relationship. And with Andrew’s behaviour, I don’t excuse it at all. I think it’s 100 per cent wrong.”
After filming, Kelly said they took a six-month break to really focus on themselves as individuals.
Since going to therapy, Andrew said he has resolved “so many issues”.
“Now that we’re back in communication and back seeing each other, it’s been – it’s night and day,” Kelly said.
Translation: they’re back together.
“We are together today, stronger, happier then we ever have been,” Andrew said.
So, there you go.
As for Cherie and Jessey, Cherie said they haven’t locked in a wedding date just yet.
“We don’t want to have a Zoom wedding, we don’t want to plan and have a small wedding, have people get sick, we don’t know anything yet,” she said.
Anna and Christine Chiu still loathe each other, by the way. Christine reckons they’re still friends for some reason, but Anna made it pretty clear they’re not.
Classic.
OH, and Kim and Kevin are… friends, I think. They’re very close now, but they’re both very I-don’t-know about each other. It could be a thing in season 2, if there is a season 2. They also unfollowed each other on Instagram for some weird reason. I think they’re flirting. I’m confused.
Also, Florent – an expert in high jewellery – spilled on whether Anna or Christine was right, re: who is the oldest high jewellery house in Paris.
