Black Mirror

How does it work? A tutorial right at the beginning of the film informs you of the numerous decisions you’ll have to face throughout the film. Each decision has two choices and you’ll have to choose one within seconds… so be prepared.

If you’ve heard of the PS4 game Detroit: Become Humanit’s like that.

A visual:

Netflix says one playthrough is supposedly 90 minutes but there’s a mammoth 312 minutes of content – all possible pathways and endings because of course, there isn’t just one end result to the story… and not all of them are satisfying.

The official synopsis reads:

In 1984, a young programmer begins to question reality as he adapts a dark fantasy novel into a video game. A mind-bending tale with multiple endings.

Fionn Whitehead leads the cast as Stefan Butler along with Asim Chaudhry as Mohan Tucker, and eyebrow man Will Poulter as Colin Ritman. Craig Parkinson and Alice Lowe co-star.

Already, fans have flooded Twitter with their mini reviews of the film and if they’re anything to go by, people froth it.

Not everyone’s a big fan though.

At the time of writing, the film’s got a 90 per cent fresh rating approval on Rotten TomatoesThen there’s the 204 audience reviews, most favourable, with the approval rating sitting at an impressive 88 per cent. A scan of the reviews make it seem like you’ll either aggressively hate it or love it.

And now, the memes.

Choices aren’t just super serious ones either. Your first choice is to choose a brand of cereal.

Things will intensify.

It’s all very fun.

When you have so many different endings, this is bound to happen.

Big mood.

If you’ve yet to experience the experience, stay away from Twitter, there are way too many spoilers on there already.
