In a year of devastating celebrity breakups that has already claimed Jen & Justin, Channing & Jenna and, um, Lena & Jack, there may be at least one couple upon whom we can pin our hopes, with reports that old flames Bella Hadid and The Weeknd were spotted making out in Cannes yesterday.
The model and the musician, who were rumoured to have been “canoodling” (gross) at the recent Coachella festival, were both attending the Magnum x Alexander Wang party, where they were spotted kissing, and possibly even leaving together.
An anonymous source who clearly spent a creepy amount of time watching the former couple get reacquainted spoke to The Daily Mail, saying:
“Bella and The Weeknd only had eyes for each other in the VIP area of the party. They were both partying with their closest friends and The Weeknd looked very much ‘part of the family.’”
‘Part of the family’ is a weird way to put that, since it sounds like they had their tongues in each other’s mouths, but sure, you do you, anonymous source. The story continues:
“Bella kept coming over and whispering in his ear and kissing his neck. They certainly weren’t keeping it secret. They were standing out on the beach in front of hundreds of people. Bella clearly asked him to leave with her as they both disappeared at the same time. They looked very cute and things definitely look like they’re back on.”
Bella Hadid and The Weeknd split in 2016, after which he went on to date Selena Gomez, while she embarked on a quest to find the world’s tiniest glasses. We wish them all the best.
