Aussie FIlmmakers Say “Sydney I Love You”

In the vein of amorous omnibus flicks Paris, je t’aime and New York, I Love You comes this ode to Sydney curated by Australian producers Gary Hamilton and John Polson. Scheduled for production early 2012, Sydney I Love You will contain a dozen 8-10 minute shorts detailing a different month of the year in Sydney. No confirmed talent yet but the list of contributors “will range from some of Australia’s best known “living legends” to up-and-comers who have recently shown great promise, possibly including some Tropfest alumni.”

Polson, a Tropfest founder and accomplished television director (Fringe, The Mentalist, The Good Wife, Flash Forward) said the film would be a perfect dovetail between our beauteous surrounds and world class film talent: “It’s no secret some of the best directors, actors and other acclaimed motion picture talent either live here or are from here. It’s about time this talent got together to tell stories that showcase one of the world’s most beautiful cities.”

Tourism NSW should sign a thousand novelty cheques for this.
