Anna Faris Spills Tea About Chris Pratt & Katherine Schwarzenegger On Her Podcast

While Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger‘s engagement came as a shock to a lot of people, it was no surprise to the Marvel star’s ex-wife Anna Faris who reportedly knew about the announcement ahead of time.

Faris addressed the engagement on the latest episode of her podcast Anna Faris Is Unqualified and revealed that Pratt texted her shortly after he proposed.

“Chris texted me this morning and he was like, ‘I proposed to Katherine last night.’ And I was like, ‘Ahh, that’s amazing,’” the Mom actress said during the ep.

She adds, “And I texted him back like, ‘I just wanted to remind you I’m an ordained minister.’ I’m not very good at it …”

“I’m so happy for them,” she said. “I knew that it was gonna happen and I love her and I love him and I’m just so happy that they found each other.”

Anna initially expressed her happiness for the pair by commenting on the announcement post.

“I’m so happy for you both!!” Faris wrote on Pratt’s Instagram pic, adding: “Congratulations!”

Pratt and Faris announced their separation back in August 2017 after eight years of marriage. The pair share a 6-year-old son together named Jack.

Schwarzenegger has spent a lot of time with Pratt and Faris’ son and on Halloween last year, Chris, Katherine, Anna and her boyfriend, Michael Barrett took him trick-or-treating together.

“I so subscribe to the idea of, like, expanding, like, family and love with Jack,” the Overboard actress explained on the podcast. “[Katherine’s] awesome.”

In January 2018, Faris shared what it’s been like doing the coparenting thing with Pratt.

“I think it’s just the general idea of just making sure that [Jack’s] surrounded by a lot of love and happiness,” she told Us Weekly. “We’re really good at that and we have amazing friends and incredible family and we have like just the most amazing resources to make sure that he feels safe and protected and happy. And so far, he is.”
