Daddies Andy Cohen And Anderson Cooper Almost Dated, And We’re Shook

Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen and CNN newsreader Anderson Cooper are, separately, two of the foremost silver daddies in the media, but during a recent appearance on Jimmy Fallon‘s Tonight Show, they revealed that the once had the opportunity to join together into one blindingly beautiful silver daddy power couple, but passed it up.

The pair, who are set to co-host CNN’s upcoming New Year’s Eve special, revealed that they were set up on a blind date by a mutual friend. “You know when straight people know two gay guys, they’re like, ‘Oh you guys should meet,’” said Cooper, not inaccurately. He said he knew “within 45 seconds” that nothing was going to happen, but the two remained close friends.

“You know what, it worked out for the best, here we are,” said Cohen. Things may not have clicked romantically between these two, but they definitely make one heck of a comedy team:

CNN’s annual New Year’s Eve show has traditionally been hosted by Cooper and Kathy Griffin this year, but she was dropped from the show after a photo of her holding a severed Donald Trump head led to public outrage.

She has already had quite a bit to say about her replacement Andy Cohen, so her Twitter feed should be a very entertaining place come new year’s eve.
