Amy Poehler Could Not Give A Single Shit In Her Latest Comedy Interview

Every so often we witness something truly beautiful. Today it’s the absolutely delightful Amy Poehler using her achievement in The Hollywood Reporter’s 40(ish) Most Powerful People In Comedy to talk about things that actually matter to her.

Not to say making the list isn’t a big deal ‘cos it is something to be proud of but friends, Poehler couldn’t give a single shit about it.

She really, really couldn’t.

When you make the list, THR grab some words off you about the achievement and such. Some of these questions are about your worst comedy moments while another is about the award itself. People on the list include Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Donald Glover, Gabriel Iglesias, and well most of The Late-Night hosts.

When you read through the list and the questions it’s the same thing over with a couple of sweet moments and laughs here and there.

Then you get to Amy Poehler’s:

My most memorable heckler… “Who cares? The whole world is on fire.”

Dream product endorsement “A giant whale just died in Thailand after eating 80 plastic bags.”

Guilty pleasure “Let’s not forget over 4,600 people have died in Puerto Rico.”

I’m funny because… “I don’t even know anymore.”

If I didn’t work in comedy… “I would never leave my house.”

College comedy audiences are… “Kids that are afraid they will be shot in their own schools. What has happened to us?”

Sitcom you’d reboot? “Mr. Rogers. I miss him. We need him.”

The funniest thing about the Trump administration is… “Are you kidding me?”

Earlier this month, a pilot whale died in Southern Thailand after eating 8kg of plastic bags.

Multiple news organisations in the United States are reporting 10 towns in Puerto Rico have had more deaths in the months following the destructive Hurricane Maria in late 2017 than in the same time of the previous two years. These 10 towns are of the highest poverty areas on the island. On Tuesday the government released the official documents revealing a total 4,645 people died after Hurricane Maria struck. Puerto Rico now face another hurricane season when they still haven’t recovered from the last.

As of May 25, 2018there have reportedly been 23 school shootings in America. Four in January, seven in February, six in March, three in April, and three in May.

Poehler’s former SNL co-star Rachel Dratch among many others applauded the Parks and Recreation front-woman for her responses to the questionnaire:
