‘AHS’ Mastermind Ryan Murphy Has A Full Secret Season In The Works

Ryan Murphy just found another way to keep American Horror Story fans on bloody edge.

After keeping the ridiculously creepy premise for AHS’ sixth season (mostly) under wraps until its premiere, the showrunner has revealed he’s kept another entire season under wraps for years.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the absolute madman said “I’ve been working with a writer on a season that only he and I know.

“It’s like a two-year project that we’ll continue to work on the sly and not tell anybody.”
Describing the phantom season as “an experiment” with no set release schedule – if it even gets the greenlight from FX – Murphy said the process behind the newie is a departure from the creation of his other TV mind-fucks:
“It’s a different way of doing it. It’s one person writing all episodes. I don’t know if it’s going to work but it’s like, well, let’s try that.
As if to tease ardent fans even damn further, Murphy hinted he might choose to just unleash the finished beast with practically zero warning. “We might get them done and shoot them on the sly and drop it,” he said.

So, let’s take a quick roll-call of the techniques this mastermind has used on AHS. Mad season-spanning callbacks? Check. Disseminating false trailers? Check. Randomly clocking fans with a whole new saga? Well, not yet, but we might just have time to steel ourselves now.

Keyword: might.
