I don’t know about you, but I am fascinated every time I watch the behind-the-scenes for movies like Lord Of The Rings and Star Wars – basically any movie with that weird and wacky costume makeup and prosthetics.
So I can only imagine how mind-blowing it would be to be taught how to create these effects yourself by TAFE NSW teacher, Belinda Maudson, who has actually WORKED on Star Wars. THE Star Wars. I’m not fangirling, you’re fangirling.
Her real-world industry knowledge is probably part of the reason she won the NSW Training Award and was a finalist in the Australian Training Awards last year.
“Our students come in and they learn all about the entertainment industries, and they learn how to be designers for theatre, film and television,” explains Belinda.
