‘Orphan Black’ Star Tatiana Maslany Scores ‘Star Wars’ Lead Role

There has been an awakening. Have you felt it?
Hollywood has finally caught up with the rest of us with regards to the raditude of one Tatiana Maslany, and the Orphan Black actress has scored the lead role in a mysterious, upcoming Star Wars movie.
Not much is known about the film yet, only that it’s a standalone project featuring a female protagonist in the Star Wars universe, and that visual effects guy Gareth Edwards, the man behind last year’s Godzilla, will direct.
Complex report that Rooney Mara of The Social Network and Felicity Jones of The Theory Of Everything were also considered, but Maslany possessed whatever lightsaber-swinging and/or pew pew gun-shooting quality was necessary for the role.
Sources say that Maslany is “rearranging her schedule” to take part in Star Wars, however, Season 3 of Orphan Black is all good to go in April (* insert big sigh of relief here *).
Whatever this new movie turns out to be, it’s due for release next year.
