As we head into the final month of summer, there’s truly one thing that will be missed by punters across the board — a refreshing (but spicy) margarita, of course! So to celebrate the beloved bevvie, Altos Tequila will be slinging a number of free margs to folks who froth the drink.
In honour of February 22 — AKA International Margarita Day — Altos Tequila will be shouting 20,000 cheeky margs across NSW, QLD and Victoria for the whole of February.
To grab a free marg, folks must register at the Altos Tequila website. The landing page will also show you all the participating venues, which can show you all the hot, single margs in your area.
Although the promotion is only limited to one marg per person, folks who register will also be in the running for a chance to win a trip to Mexico. The motherland of one of the most beloved spirits in the world, tequila — and the birth country of my fave footballer Javier Hernández AKA Chicharito.

Altos Tequila will be bringing its Casa De Altos takeover to Hotel Ravesis for a whole month alongside this cheeky promo. The Casa De Altos celebration will host a series of pop-ups throughout February, including music from Carolina Gasolina (icon) and two days’ worth of giveaways.
There will also be an arts and crafts workshop led by Sydney-based creative Jeff McCann and Melbourne-based artist Kitiya Palaska. Tickets cost $17.19 and can be nabbed right here.
For folks who may be out of reach in copping a free marg, creative lead of Cantina OK! Storm Evans shared some tips on perfecting the refreshing beverage at home, revealing to PEDESTRIAN.TV that it’s about having the “best possible products” in your kitchen.
“I think the secret to making any amazing Margarita or let’s say an amazing drink in general is just having the best possible products,” Evans said.
“Things like Altos Tequila have been voted globally — not just within Australia or within certain regions — We’re talking around the world for multiple years in a row as being the number one tequila for making margaritas.
“I think that if you want to find something to make really delicious drinks, and that’s probably the best place to start is recognition from the best bartenders around the world.”
