Ever wished you could see things through the eyes of the Sims you control? Welp, soon you’ll be able to because the next Sims 4 patch will include a first-person camera you can switch to at any time.

By pressing shift + tab, you’ll be given a look at what your Sim sees as they live in their digital world, whether it’s watching telly, having a weird conversation, or maybe even doing a bit of “woohoo?” I’m not so sure about that last one, though.
Funnily enough, the feature actually started out as a joke made by one of the game’s producers but eventually became a fully-fledged development down the line. It was announced by the Sims global community manager, known as SimGuru Kate, and demoed by Maxis build engineer, Steve Lansing, in a recent live stream. It seems like a pretty fun way to immerse yourself in the hellhole your Sims live in if that’s something you’re into. Check out the stream below.
1st person camera?! Finally, I can truly be immersed in the life of Bob Pancakes. #MaxisMonthly

I know what you’re all thinking, and no, I don’t know if you’ll be able to watch your Sim fuck another Sim through their eyes. I doubt the team would be into letting you do that, but hey, given there are already mods that let your Sims punch bongs and fuck without censorship, I’m sure it won’t be long until someone mods this feature, as well. Hell, folks are already thinking about it.

Others, however, have other ideas for how they’ll play with the new feature.

The new update is available on November 13 to all players and will also include new terrain modification tools and a Style Influencer career choice for your Sims, which is great if you’re all about that Insta life. The new Get Famous expansion also drops on November 16 and will include even more fame-hungry careers.
Enjoy you first-person view, perverts.
