Rapper Mac Miller Has Died Of A Suspected Overdose At The Age Of 26

Rapper Mac Miller has been found dead of a suspected overdose at his home in the San Fernando ValleyCalifornia. He was 26 years old.

TMZ broke the story earlier today, and LAPD officers later confirmed that they had “responded to a death investigation” near Miller’s home, without naming him.

He was reportedly discovered around midday, and was declared dead at the scene.

Mac Miller had struggled with substance abuse for a number of years, and shortly after his breakup with Ariana Grande, he crashed his car into a power pole.

He was found to have a blood alcohol content twice the legal limit after the incident, and was charged with DUI as a result.

Friends and fellow musicians have begun to pay tribute to Miller, with Chance The Rapper saying that he is devastated by the news. He took to Twitter to write:

“I don’t know what to say, Mac Miller took me on my second tour ever. But beyond helping me launch my career he was one of the sweetest guys I ever knew. Great man. I loved him for real. I’m completely broken. God bless him.”

Numerous others including Shawn MendesWiz KhalifaCharlie PuthPost Malone and talk show host James Corden have also paid tribute.
