You know what, Nothing’s Shocking anymore – not even the fact that Perry Farrell, front man of Jane’s Addiction, Strays one sunny afternoon into The Cabinet of Curiosities otherwise known as Sydney’s St. Augustine Academy store.
He hung around for a few photos and went on to purchase a buttoned vest with coat tails and – in true rock star style – a pair of women’s tuxedo pants which, according to the designer Alvin Manalo, “fit him like a glove”.
His new Australian designer outfit made its debut last night at the Jane’s Addiction gig at the Enmore Theatre. He accessorized, of course, with some killer silver jewelry, a bulging crotch, one or two chains, eyeliner, and a couple coats of mascara. He may be over 50, but he rocks a skinny-leg pant like no other. Toight like a Tiger. What I woulda done to be front row for this…
